By the Numbers

Measurable Impact. Real Lives Changed.

Every number represents a person who walked through our doors with uncertainty and left with direction, skills, and opportunity — and every event represents a community that showed up for each other.

What We Measure

How We Define Success

We track outcomes that reflect real change in people's lives — not just enrollment numbers. From career placements and skill gains to community event attendance and the relationships built at a cookout or a soccer tournament, we measure impact in all its forms.

Employment Outcomes

We follow up with program graduates to track job placement, job retention, and wage growth over time. This data guides how we improve and adapt our programs each cycle.

Confidence & Skill Gains

Participants complete pre- and post-program assessments measuring career readiness, professional confidence, and goal clarity. Across programs, we consistently see significant positive shifts.

Long-Term Retention

We track 90-day and 6-month post-program retention to understand whether participants stay employed, stay enrolled in training, or return to us for additional support.

Community Connection

We measure the depth of community built through our events — sports tournaments, cultural gatherings, health fairs, and social activities that foster belonging, wellness, and neighborhood pride alongside our workforce programs.

Our Reach

Serving Wake County & Beyond

CVCMinistries is rooted in Wake County, North Carolina — and continues to grow. Our primary base of operation is in Wake County, where the majority of our programs are delivered. Our outreach coordinators partner with schools, churches, community centers, and workforce development agencies across the region to ensure our services are accessible to those who need them most — regardless of transportation barriers or geographic distance.

We prioritize both urban and rural communities across North Carolina, recognizing that economic opportunity gaps exist far beyond city limits.

Success Stories

The People Behind the Numbers

YVN Career Launch

Marcus Thompson

YVN Career Launch Program Graduate

Marcus came to YVN at 19, having dropped out of high school and unsure of his next step. Through the Career Launch program, he earned his GED, completed a 4-week career readiness intensive, and landed a paid apprenticeship at a regional manufacturing company. Today he's enrolled in a part-time welding certification program and mentors other YVN participants.

CVC Professional Pathways

Denise Washington

CVC Professional Pathways Participant

After being laid off from a long career in administration, Denise felt lost. Her CVCMinistries counselor helped her identify transferable skills she hadn't recognized in herself. After one-on-one counseling sessions and a resume overhaul, Denise secured a new position as an operations coordinator at a local nonprofit — at a meaningful salary increase from her previous role.

Mentor Connect

Jaylen Rivera

Mentor Connect Participant

Jaylen was 16 and at risk of dropping out when his school counselor referred him to Mentor Connect. Paired with a mentor in the technology sector, Jaylen discovered an interest in IT and set a goal to pursue a CompTIA A+ certification. His mentor helped him study, practice, and stay accountable. Jaylen passed on his first attempt and is now 19, employed part-time in IT support, and applying to community college.
